Why cover silage piles?
We offer financial support to help keep tuition costs down for families sending their children to Christian school. We do this through two main fundraisers each fall – covering silage piles and our Harvest Sale auction.
Covering silage piles involves donning work boots and gloves, getting dirty, dusty and stinky. Working shoulder-to-shoulder, we physically assist dairy and cattle farmers who need large silage or earlage piles covered with plastic and tires. We work in groups of 20-100 because it’s a job that’s practically impossible to do alone or with just a few people.
